Job purpose

The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of rotor-wing aircraft, with a primary focus on UH-60 Black Hawk and UH-1 platforms. This position ensures all helicopters meet FAA and company safety, quality, and performance standards while supporting operational readiness in a collaborative team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs on UH-60, UH-1, and other supported helicopters.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural issues in accordance with OEM manuals, FAA regulations, and company SOPs.

Job purpose

The Aircraft Painter is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting helicopter exteriors and components according to OEM standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role ensures high-quality finishes that contribute to the appearance, protection, and performance of rotary-wing aircraft

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare aircraft surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, and removing old paint or corrosion.

Job purpose

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that ensure compliance with environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations within the helicopter MRO facility. This role ensures that all EHS initiatives align with AS9100/9110 standards, ITAR requirements, FAA regulations, and company policies. The EHS Manager will serve as a key leader in driving a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance across all MRO operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety management system in compliance with OSHA, EPA, FAA, AS9100/9110, and ITAR regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Perform annual AS9100/ISO9001 audits, gap analysis prior to external audits.

        • Monitor and enforce compliance with FAA (including Part 145, 135, and 91), EASA, ICAO, ITAR, EAR, and other relevant aviation and export control regulations.
        • Develop, maintain, and update compliance documentation such as manuals, audit reports, corrective action plans, and training records.
        • Track and analyze regulatory updates and ensure timely implementation of changes across the organization.
        • Train and educate internal teams on regulatory changes, compliance procedures, and safety protocols; develop and maintain an annual compliance training program.
        • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with training and certification requirements.
        • Effectively enforce prime contracts awarded by Government and other agencies as well as Subcontracts and Purchase Orders awarded to contractors and suppliers.
        • Ensure flow-down requirements from prime contracts to subcontractors are properly communicated and enforced.
        • Review Statements of Work (SOWs) and technical requirements for compliance alignment.
        • Communicate with Government personnel, subcontractors, maintain contract files, manage document tracking databases, review contractor invoices for accuracy, investigate contract problems, and other forms of contracts support.
        • Support the needs of the Department through the preparation of various contract documents and activities.
        • Collaborate/Coordinate with Legal, Procurement, Sales, Operations, Subcontractors and Legal counsel.
        • Manage, maintain and review subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and modifications with the ability to draft correspondence to the Government and/or Subcontractors as requested or required.
        • Primary contact for all communications with government or private contract officials.
        • Ensure appropriate knowledge of contracts and contract terms/language is obtained to maximize UAG position in negotiations.
        • Support audits and regulatory reviews by providing contract documentation and compliance insights.
        • Manage export licenses, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs), and other required documentation.
        • Ensure compliance with ITAR and EAR, including classification, licensing, reporting, and dual-use goods oversight.
        • Conduct restricted party screening and monitor OFAC sanctions and cross-border compliance.
        • Identify and mitigate risks related to international trade and export-controlled activities.
        • Perform other related duties as assigned.

        Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

        • 100% timely filing of export licenses and contract deliverables.
        • Audit findings closed within required timeframes; less than 2% repeat findings per cycle.
        • Completion rate of compliance training programs (target: 95%+ annually).
        • Reduction of contract cycle time from initiation to approval.

        Required Skills/Abilities:

        • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
        • Bachelor’s in Aviation Management, related Business degree or 10+ years in aviation leadership/management.
        • 5+ years in Federal Government/Commercial contract management, Certified Professionals Contract Manager (CPCM) preferred.
        • 3+ years in aviation compliance/regulatory affairs/quality assurance.
        • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP/contract management systems (SAP, Quantum, Costpoint, Hubspot, or similar).
        • Familiarity with compliance databases (Visual Compliance, Empower, or equivalent).
        • Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
        • Knowledge of commercial contracting methods under Federal Prime Contracts.
        • Must have strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, EASA, ITAR, EAR, ICAO, Agency Supplements/Regulations.
        • Experience with international contracts and export compliance, including OFAC and sanctions.

        Responsibilities/daily tasks

        • Coordination of maintenance certification prior to release of an aircraft component to service.

        • Manage incoming, in-process and final inspections of aircraft parts and components to determine quality of materials and finished products.
        • Manage receiving inspections on materials and products for conformance to specifications.

        • Ensure hangar/workshop/office facilities are maintained in a safe, clean and compliant condition

        Qualifications:

        • Proven experience as a Chief Inspector or similar role in the aerospace industry.

        • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic License or Repairman Certificate
        • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
